Cup
 Oil Paint, 3"x4", 2026

Study on two cups, practicing minor color shifting in light. Practicing with small differences in temperature, I spent 45 minutes on this study. The objects were all painted a solid color, so we could specifically focus on the lighting in the shadows and such.
Cone
 Oil Paint, 3"x4", 2026

Practicing minor color shifting in dark colors, specifically browns and blacks. Spending about 1 hour on this small picture, I tried to maintain brushstroke consistency, and adding different levels of luminosity. I also focused on the texture of the different surfaces.

Shovel and Ball
 Oil Paint, 8"x6", 2026

Study on more complicated shapes, spherical and the handle of a shovel. Used a larger brush, but tried to maintain small details throughout the piece. Also took me 1 hour. This set had a warmer lighting, so I was more focused on the warmth of the transitional shadows.
Bottle
Oil Paint, 8"x11", 2026

Another light painting study on a larger scale, working on minor color shifting once more in a light scale. I spent about 45 minutes on this, mainly focusing on the bottle instead of the background. Rounded surfaces have a very specific shading, and it was interesting to see a cooler lighting on it.
